Author Interview with Paul Levinson

First of all, could you tell us a bit about yourself?
I'm a writer, professor, media commentator, singer-songwriter, blogger. Writing is as easy for me as talking, and I do both all the time. I write both science fiction and scholarly/historical/futuristic nonfiction about technology and communication. Critics of my nonfiction sometimes say it reads like science fiction; critics of my science fiction sometimes say it reads like philosophy; they're both right, and I take that as a compliment. I have six science fiction novels published the traditional way - I'm currently bringing them out as "author's cut" ebooks in which I restore some of my original wording that gave way to copy-editing, and sometimes more.

Author Interview with Larry Kollar + Giveaway

Hi Larry, first of all, could you tell us a bit about yourself.
I was born in Michigan, and moved to Georgia for work after graduating from college. I've been writing technical documentation for about 30 years. Some of it was unintentional fiction. I've always wanted to write fiction, though. Now that I have the opportunity, I intend to continue writing. I'm helping raise a grandkid, too.

Author Interview with Andrea Goodson

Hi Andrea, first of all, could you tell us a bit about yourself.
Well, I am a brand new author this year! I currently have two books available in the Romantic Suspense genre. They are the first two installments of The Riverbend Trilogy. I am also a nurse, wife, and mother who finds beauty in simple things, imagination, and nature.

What do you think makes your genre special?
Romantic Suspense is such a complex genre. On one hand you have the element of surprise, mystery, and danger. While one the other there is love and relationship conflicts. The blending of these two themes makes novels in this genre interesting, suspenseful, and heart-warming at the same time.

Author Interview with Emily Mah Tippetts

Hi Emily, first of all, could you tell us a bit about yourself.
Certainly. My name is Emily Mah Tippetts - Mah is my maiden name and is Chinese for "horse", while Tippetts is my married name (and I gather is an old word for "tie-maker"). I began my writing career as Emily Mah in science fiction and fantasy and attended the Clarion West Writer's Workshop back in 2001. Since then I've sold several short stories to magazines like Analog Science Fiction and Fact and Black Gate. In 2008, I decided to try my hand at romance/chick lit and did this under the name E.M. Tippetts. I published one novel with a small press, then in 2011 decided to try indie publishing. Because Emily Mah had the beginnings of a respectable, traditional career, I did this as E.M. Tippetts and put out two chick lit books. A year later, I make a lot more money as E.M. Tippetts and that's the pen name that's received most of my energies lately. I'll answer the rest of these interview questions as E.M. Tippetts, the chick lit/ya writer.
